SS may already be the abbreviated name for 'Stainless Steel', but this does not mean that SS is not subject to rust. Like all materials, stainless steel needs regular maintenance to stand the test of time.

Stainless Steel is sensitive to temperature variations, humidity and other elements absorbed into the atmosphere. Thus, it is mainly small iron particles in the air that precipitate on SS. This usually forms fairly superficial rust spots, called fly rust. Fly rust is easy to remove and prevent with specially developed products.

BOONS FIS has 2 products in its range for these applications:

A BOONS FIS Stainless Steel Rust Remover and a BOONS FIS Stainless Steel Conditioner.

BOONS FIS Stainless Steel Rust Remover

This is an organic rust remover for stainless steel and harmless to humans and the environment. With this property, it is also safely used for cleaning surfaces and appliances in the food industry. This Rust Remover is suitable for intensive cleaning of contaminated surfaces, as well as for preventive use. Treated surfaces are better protected against rust. In addition to its effective action on stainless steel, Stainless Steel Rust Remover is also effective on (non-ferrous metals such as) aluminium. It also easily removes whitish corrosion spots on aluminium.

Shake well before use and apply with a (damp) sponge or cloth. On brushed Stainless Steel, rub in the direction of the brushing until the rust is dissolved. This way, you maintain the original shine and finish of the Stainless Steel surface.

BOONS FIS Stainless Steel Conditioner

Stainless Steel Conditioner is recommended as a post-treatment for surfaces cleaned with BOONS FIS Stainless Steel Rust Remover. It is a neutral cleaner for daily maintenance of lightly soiled surfaces. The treated surfaces receive an additional protective layer that prevents new corrosion as much as possible.

This product can be applied diluted: 100 ml to 250 ml of water.
