Automated drive through to clean trucks

BOONS FIS developed an industrial, automated drive through to clean trucks, for a customer active in the transport of animal carcasses. This high-pressure outdoor installation excels in safety, hygiene and efficiency.

This installation was designed as a fully-fledged drive through truck wash with two separate washing zones, specifically designed for the thorough cleaning and disinfection of trucks, both on the inside and outside.

Automatic loading box cleaning

Thanks to the fully automated cleaning of the interior of the loading boxes, cleaning can be done safely.

2 Sets of 4 rotating spray nozzles have been integrated for this purpose to ensure powerful, even coverage without people having to enter the loading area.

Exterior cleaning with manual precision

For the exterior of the trucks, there are several reels with high-pressure spray guns, which operators can use for targeted cleaning.

The system works with water up to 80°C, which ensures a high cleaning power, even with stubborn dirt or biological residues.

For this purpose, we have integrated a steam injection heater into the water tank. This unit increases the contact time of the cleaning products and thus contributes to a thorough disinfection.

Precise dosing of cleaning agents

The installation several dosing units:

  • 4 dosing units for cleaning agents
  • 4 dosing units for disinfection

This ensures that the right agents are dosed accurately at the right time for an optimal cleaning and disinfection process.

 

Chassis cleaning integrated into the floor

In addition, the trucks also drive over a separate, automatic spray arch, which operates at 6 bar. The chassis washer uses active foam to clean the bottom of the vehicles.

This area is often overlooked and this is crucial for transport in hygiene-sensitive contexts such as cadaver transport.
