Thoroughly cleaning trains and bogies is very important to SNCB. BOONS FIS developed a new cleaning installation for the space that had been specially built for this purpose from A to Z.
Fast and thorough cleaning
After thorough consultation with the customer, we had a clear picture of the needs and desires and our experts could get down to work.
Self-winding reels with accessories were installed at regular distances in the 120 metre-long space on both sides of the track.
These reels were connected to two 200 bar high pressure units working on gas to always be able to work with two users at the same time. Fast and thorough cleaning could then be assured.
Design, installation and maintenance
Besides the pump units and reels, we also installed the complete piping network. A double-walled stainless steel flue was also provided for discharge purposes. This was also installed by our own employees. The necessary concrete drilling was also a responsibility of BOONS FIS.
After actual installation and acceptance, BOONS FIS is also providing technical support, service and maintenance. Thanks to this approach the SNCB always has one point of contact for the complete installation, which is a major added value for the concern.
