BOONS FIS realised a medium-pressure cleaning system for a customer with specific requirements in terms of safety, maintenance and compatibility. This system was constructed entirely from durable 316 stainless steel and is designed for foam cleaning without disinfection, offering maximum control and flexibility.
How is this system constructed?
The installation consists of a pressure booster unit combined with a foam dosing unit, built into a blue HDPE chemical-resistant cabinet. This cabinet offers chemical resistance and is ideal for use in humid or aggressive environments. The installation is equipped with an automatic chemical changeover system so that when a varibox IBC is empty, it switches automatically to the full tank. There is also a rinsing function, so that when servicing the foam dosing unit, the installation can be rinsed with clean water – essential for the safety and service life of the system.

Smart pump control per unit
The complete individualisation of the pump control is what makes this installation unique. The control is performed in a Siemens PLC, where the coupling with the SCADA and ERP is not lost sight of.
At the customer's request:
- The system was equipped with lockable plugs and sockets
- Each Grundfos pump can be switched off separately, ideal for:
- safety
- maintenance work without impacting the entire system
This allows the customer's LOTOTO policy to be implemented correctly. This not only increases ease of use, but also contributes to efficient work organisation and minimal downtime.
Built for intensive industrial use
This installation is more than robust – it is designed to perform in demanding conditions:
- The Grundfos pumps have been carefully selected for this application
- Both the pumps and the intermediate flanges are made entirely of stainless steel
- The finish is not only visually sleek, but also extremely wear-resistant and durable
Perfectly suited for heavy industrial cleaning, with a focus on reliability and long service life.
BOONS FIS has also calculated and programmed the hot water supply for the pump unit into the system, using a water-water heat exchanger.
