BOONS FIS developed a robust cleaning system on a frame for a customer in the dairy sector that seamlessly meets the requirements of an intensive and continuous cleaning process. The installation is designed for cleaning cheese (related installations and surfaces) and runs daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., 7 days a week. An assignment that requires reliability, efficiency and sustainability.
The structure of the installation
The core of the system is a powerful industrial pump unit, operating at 80 bar. Each pump delivers 50 litres per minute, more than enough for thorough and consistent cleaning. Thanks to the well-considered choice of pumps, they only run at around 75% of their maximum capacity, which not only significantly reduces wear and tear, but also extends the service life of the installation and reduces the maintenance frequency.
This smart approach results in an energy-efficient and reliable installation, ideal for sectors such as dairy processing where hygiene is crucial and standstill is not an option.
