Vlaemynck
Vlaemynck is a wholesaler of daily fresh vegetables, fruits and potatoes, with its own cutting department. The business recently moved to a larger building on the industrial estate in Veurne. BOONS FIS took care of the cleaning installation and hygiene equipment in their new building!
A decentralised cleaning system was selected for cleaning the different areas. This system uses an SPU pressure booster pump and S2 satellites. The SPU pressure booster unit is equipped with a 200L break tank, because of its many advantages. It provides, for example, a separation between the water supply network and the cleaning system to avoid a backflow of water. In addition, the tank provides an extra 200L of water storage and our break tanks are Belgaqua approved, which means that they are built completely in accordance with EN1717 and the product standard EN13077.
The pressure booster unit sends the water, under the right pressure (20 bar), to the decentralized satellites via stainless steel piping. A total of five satellites with matching reels, hoses and spray heads are provided to make sure all places that need to be cleaned daily are easily accessible.
Each satellite offers the choice between foaming, rinsing and disinfecting. This choice can be made with a simple switch, after which the correct product is sucked in from the jerry cans positioned underneath the satellite. For these 25L jerry cans specific stainless steel enclosures were made to make sure chemical agents are under lock and key in the production area.
In addition, 3 reels with rubber FDA hoses were provided for the use of ice water. A pressure booster system was also supplied for this.
In order to ensure optimum personal hygiene in the production area, a hygiene lock is used. To get access to the hygiene lock, employees have to go through a turnstile with a badge system. This makes it possible to check who is in the production area at any time. After that, employees have to wash and dry their hands, after which they can enter production via an URK hygiene station.
This hygiene station ensures simultaneous disinfection of the hands and cleaning and disinfection of the soles by means of rotating brushes. The turnstile only gives passage when the users have gone through the procedure correctly, guaranteeing a perfect hygiene in the production areas.
