The CBU is a central chemicals dosing unit connected by stainless steel piping to the CS central draw-off satellites (one satellite and one reel set is provided for each location to be cleaned). The unit is assembled on a stainless steel frame as standard.

HDPE chemical tank

For the storage of these chemicals at our CBU unit, we chose (black) HDPE tanks. The chemicals (cleaning agents and disinfectants) used in cleaning applications are aggressive substances that corrode stainless steel over time. This results in increased maintenance costs and repair costs. HDPE (plastic) has endless possibilities and practical solutions. After all, it is very polyvalent and can be used almost everywhere due to its specific characteristics:

Extremely resistant to heat, corrosion, UV light
Light and strong
Ecological, highly sustainable and 100% recyclable
Certified (approved for food contact according to LFGB and EC, DIN 4102 B2 normal flammability, compliance with food law EU 10/2011
The frequency-controlled feed pump at 7 bar controls a dosing pumps (type Grundfos CRIE). The dosing pump is controlled by pulse and flow rate measurement and ensure perfectly accurate dosing.

The built-in own programming ensures perfect operation of the unit, and the parameters can be simply changed on the display. The unit is also provided with run-dry protection.

How does the central chemical dosing unit (CBU) work?

The CBU is connected to CS satellite stations via stainless steel piping. Each cleaning location is equipped with one satellite and a hose reel set.

 

Why is an HDPE chemical tank used instead of stainless steel?
