What is an industrial pallet washer?
A pallet washer is an automated machine that cleans and disinfects pallets through a washing and rinsing cycle.
What is the capacity of the pallet washers?
The standard unit can clean 150 pallets per hour. Custom capacities are available upon request.
Which industries use pallet washers?
Pallet washers are mainly used in the food industry, pharmaceutical sector, and logistics, where hygiene and efficient pallet cleaning are essential.
How does an industrial pallet washer work?
The pallet washer consists of multiple zones:
- Washing zone: Pallets are cleaned with hot water and detergent. This water is filtered and reused to minimize waste.
- Rinsing zone: Pallets are rinsed with hot water, which is then recirculated to the tank for reuse.
- Optional – Drying zone: Pallets can be dried with four powerful air blowers.
What components ensure the optimal performance of a pallet washer?
Each pallet washer includes:
- Siemens PLC control with dedicated interface.
- Stainless steel transport chain, control cabinet, and spray nozzles.
- Heavy-duty stainless steel pump for strong water circulation.
- Sensors to protect pumps and heating elements from running dry.
How is the pallet transport speed adjusted?
The pallets are automatically moved through the wash tunnel by a stainless steel chain conveyor. The speed can be easily adjusted via the control panel.
How does the pallet washer minimize energy consumption?
- Hot water is reused to save energy.
- The water tank maintains temperature to optimize energy use.
- The optional drying zone uses energy-efficient fans.
