Good hygiene is becoming increasingly important within numerous companies and industries such as care centres, hospitals, the packaging industry, the food industry, the pharmaceutical industry, etc. Good hand hygiene is accordingly crucial considering our hands are one of the main culprits in spreading micro-organisms. But what does good hand hygiene exactly mean?

To assure good hand hygiene one must make sure that sufficient facilities are provided. BOONS FIS offers numerous dispensers, hand dryers, washing sinks and washbasins to assist here. The importance of good hand hygiene must also be emphasised to staff, for example by raising awareness.

Correctly washing one’s hands is crucial to good hand hygiene. Important points for attention here are the use of sufficient (liquid) soap, the right way of soaping in, sufficiently rinsing and thoroughly drying the hands. One can also opt for a more automated procedure by providing hand soaping stations and hand disinfection stations. These automatically dispense the right soap or disinfectant dose when the hands are inserted in the openings for that purpose. These appliances are available with or without turnstile and can also be connected to a badge system if required. Then correctly soaping and disinfecting the hands is made compulsory where this is absolutely necessary. Strict hygiene requirements can then always be met.
