Types of pressure-boosting cleaning systems
Our pressure-boosting systems are specially designed to increase and regulate the pressure of the supplied water. Simply put, these units manage the water pressure within a certain range and can also provide the corresponding pressure water outlets. There are systems that operate between 10 and 40 bar, but we also offer systems that can generate a pressure of more than 40 bar. Systems from 40 bar use plunger pumps, while systems up to 40 bar are equipped with centrifugal pumps. Each system can be equipped with various options and customer-specific requirements.
Low to mid-pressure systems
Low- and mid-pressure systems up to 40 bar offer specific advantages for the industry over high-pressure pumps (plunger pumps). They can better control dirt without dispersing it in all directions. Moreover, the risk of damaging other equipment in the production areas is smaller when using systems with lower pressure. Additionally, they do not create aerosols (mists of microorganisms) that can settle on freshly cleaned surfaces, something that can happen when using high-pressure pumps. The maintenance of these systems is also noticeably less, resulting in lower costs. In terms of cleaning efficiency, both types of systems perform about equally; systems with lower pressure compensate for their reduced pressure with a higher flow rate and smoother rinsing.

Systems above 40 bar are equipped with plunger pumps. BOONS FIS supplies units with plunger pumps that have a capacity of up to 1500 bar. Real powerhouses!
