Belgomilk

Belgomilk is an independent subsidiary of Milcobel, the largest Belgian dairy co-operative. Belgomilk specialises in cheese and milk ingredients for the international food and drinks industry and has already been a familiar BOONS FIS customer for years. This involves both personal hygiene and high pressure installations, along with numerous custom-made projects. 

The years of cooperation between Belgomilk and BOONS FIS started with the delivery of a high pressure installation. At the time Belgomilk was in search of an installation to clean their vaporisers. For this we supplied two 400-bar pump units (2D CU). Such high pressure was required to ensure thorough cleaning. Numerous other projects followed this initial successful cooperation.

BOONS FIS accordingly supplied and installed different complete hygiene locks. Each lock has an equivalent construction and consists of parts including a HDK hand disinfection turnstile, a hand-washing basin (available in different designs) with dispensers and paper basket and a URK hygiene station.  This guarantees optimal hygiene throughout the whole factory.

Good cooperation is a necessity for such projects. BOONS FIS works actively with the customer to arrive at the best result. We periodically maintain all the installations under a maintenance contract. The quality and proper operation of all appliances is then assured. 

BOONS FIS has also successfully completed numerous custom-made projects for Belgomilk. The concern was in search of a simple but robust system to clean their filters. A completely new system was designed to satisfy all the needs specified. Close cooperation was very important in bringing the project to a successful conclusion.

A special trolley was designed to be slid under the filter. The filter lands in the trolley before being driven to the cleaner. To clean the filter a fully automatically cleaner with rotating movement was designed into which the filter can be slid. The cleaner has an automatic start/stop function and signal light. When the installation stops, the whole filter has been cleaned and can be loaded back in the trolley by a tilting system. This makes the entire process as efficient and ergonomic as can be.

Much attention was devoted to hygiene during the whole course of the design considering this is an important aspect throughout the whole process. All surfaces are sloped, and all pipes are at an angle. Then no dirt can settle on the installations. Food-safe material and wheels were also used for the trolley.
